The Ministry of Higher Education (MINESUP) organizes each year the Salon of Academic and Professional Orientation (SOAP). The 2018 edition was held from May 23 to 25 in Yaoundé under the theme: "Academic and Professional Orientation in the light of the fusion of the knowledge economy and the digital economy". This show aims at several objectives among which:
- Revitalize entrepreneurship by spreading the culture of business creation in Cameroonian society;
- Sensitize the youth on Business Incubators;
- Give a more incentive vision to the challenges and requirements of the socio-economic and industrial sectors.
CURES participated in the SOAP edition 2018 through the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique of the University of Yaounde I (ENSP). During the inauguration of the show, our engineers exposed the know-how of the CURES to a delegation of Ministers of Higher Education and Secondary Education, several rectors of universities, deans of faculties, and heads of establishments. Activities and projects were presented to the public throughout the show.
A commission for the evaluation of the best projects, made up of representatives of the AUF and the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, sat on May 24, 2018. The engineers of the CURES presented to this end the technical innovations elaborated for the realization of the prototype. of the neonatal incubator. This neonatal incubator provides a suitable environment for the development of the premature newborn or low birth weight.
The SOAP closed with the award ceremony for the winners of the Best Projects Competition. The CURES received the first prize from the representative of the Minister of Higher Education and offered by the AUF via the Digital Manufacturing Laboratory ONGOLA FABLAB.
