Within the framework of the research for the drafting of the end of engineer’ study report at ENSP of Yaounde, Raïssa Charlène YOMI, student at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, carried out during five (05) months an academic internship at the CURES.
During this course, the student has been trained to use measuring equipment such as the network analyzer, the ground connection device and the tester of ground fault circuit interrupter.

In her research, Raïssa was interested in the architecture of electrical installations in district hospitals and the impact on energy efficiency.
Indeed, in a context where the regular power cuts of electicity affect hospital equipments (thus reducing the efficiency of hospital services while increasing energy bill, Raïssa carried out energy audits in three (03) district hospitals in different regions of Cameroon and took measures using the network analyzer in order to identify the energy profile and the potentials for improvement of energy efficiency of such hospitals.
The results of the study were presented in front of a jury to the ENSP on July 10th, 2015. This study has allowed to propose an architecture of electrical installations which is adapted to district hospitals in Cameroon and to show the influence of this architecture on the energy efficiency of these hospitals. It also allowed to propose solutions to reduce the electricity bills of such hospitals.
